My .38 Cal Brass Squib Rod

Well packaged, 36 inches not bent! Superb quality I don't know why a machined (threaded) rod would be cheaper than a solid one, but the squib doesn't seem to care if it's filled with a solid rod or a threaded rod, and maybe someday I'll need it along a thread.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Fits

The rod arrived bent and cannot be repaired. I understand completely.

Stem arrived bent and beyond repair. I am well aware that the threads often have to be fixed at the ends and that a slight bend is to be expected. In this case, the bend was enough to render the rod unusable for my purposes.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Doesn't flex much on clasps

If you plan on using an end in a hook, forget about it...this stuff will break. However, I can't really influence the rating. If you need to extend an existing 10-32 brass rod...let's say the one that comes with the hummingbird feeder, this works really well in combination with a flare nut. One day, different types of metals could merge, but who cares?

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Nice threaded rod

I needed to assemble a Z axis mount for my 3D printer and while I could have gotten a rough rod from a hardware store I wanted to decorate it. It is very cheap and the quality is very good. It's nice and bright right out of the box. The packaging is the only problem and the problem isn't with the product but with how Revain packages it. They put it in a large box with some sheets of paper, no bubble wrap on the end of the pole so it will most likely pierce the box like it did with my first…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Has a few quirks

Revain Prime Special Treatment

I ordered this 8-32 threaded brass rod for $2.57 for a project, instead I got two 6-32 rods and one 4-40 rod and all the packages were wrong inscribed, '8-32' . Every time I have had to return the wrong product, Revain's shipping cost exceeded the cost of the product. Finally I used Revane's chat to fix the problem. Revain spokesman Dipendra promised to turn it over to an "interested group" to investigate the issue, while Dipendra instructed me to keep the last batch (4-40 rods) to myself…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of Style
