I have been using Braun shavers for 30 years and have always complimented the quality of their products. The shaver I bought a replacement head for has given me 10 years of excellent shaving. Until recently I had no reason to change heads, although they recommend doing this every few months. Not only that, they miss even more details! First they removed the springs, now they have done away with the two plastic slides (one on each side of the cartridge) used to facilitate the reciprocating movement of the cutter head in the foil. This replacement part has a white plastic in the middle, which may affect the smooth and fast cutting compared to the original head without white plastic. I bought an original Braun shaver about five years ago. The price of just under €23 is too high for a spare part. I could buy a new Phillips razor for about $30. In 18 months I won't be buying any more Braun spare parts!

My Braun shaver has been in use for over 10 years; I've replaced this foil and cutter about 6 times, 3 of them just because the foil was damaged (don't forget to save the lid folks). This shaving head can be disassembled for thorough cleaning and then reassembled like new. I never had to do anything to the shaver itself, the design and quality are excellent. I will probably be using this shaver for another 10 years, it is very reliable and holds a charge well.

Seriously, I love Braun shavers. I have a coarse beard and the only good shave I can get is with a straight blade razor or my Braun and I have been a Braun customer for over 30 years.
