I shave daily. I used a razor from a Japanese manufacturer for 9 years, but the battery failed and I had to urgently buy another razor. I shave with Brown for a week. Feels like this razor is worse, although the level of the razor is the same. Brown, as it were, scrapes over the skin, so there is no question of any comfortable shaving. Today I ordered a Japanese, and I will either sell this razor or give it as a gift . I hope that I helped with the choice.

Honestly, I cannot recommend this shaver to anyone. My $30 Norelco razor gives a closer shave than this one. A complete waste of money and not up to the Braun standard I expected. Very disappointing as the only way to get a close shave is to do 6-8 passes of what at this time is a scrub. My skin remains itchy and irritated. I regretted buying this shaver shortly after opening the box. The instruction manual is a farce with no text, just cryptic caricatures. Seriously, you could ask IKEA to create the instructions and they would have a much better document. The construction seems poorly designed - I have a feeling it will break with normal use. After several years of using a rotary machine I finally made up my mind. I'm definitely glad I did as the Series 5 delivers an amazingly close dry shave with minimal skin irritation (the rotary drive can provide a close shave when used with foam but irritates skin when used dry). I'm a bit surprised that you can't remove the foil on this Braun razor to see/clean the cutting blades. Instead, the blades are in a cartridge that can be replaced when they become dull. It's a minor thing, but it was what I expected and I make sure to thoroughly clean and sanitize my blades between each use.

I am a razor lover. I shave every day. I was very surprised at how cleanly she shaved for an electric razor. After reading the pros and cons of foil and round razors, this was the right type for my shaving style. It's incredibly close and works great if you shave every day. For people like my dad who shave less often or have thicker sideburns, you need a different style. The only thing I wish it came with was a case, but overall I'm happy with it.
