A bit tight for the extra large ones but I think they should be. They feel nice and work very well, however three of these socks tore when I put them on at the weak spot above the heel, at the Achilles tendon, where there is a seam between two pieces of fabric. This is unsatisfactory and makes me not recommend these socks. Great material, great execution, but that one critical weakness really let me down. I would like to receive a refund.

They are comfortable. They run a little big (I'm a size 13 and ordered a size 13-15 so it's probably my fault). They don't have the cushioning I was thinking of. I've never had so many problems buying socks. I'm a male 10 (mostly medium in all clothes) but according to their chart I bought XL. They were too tight. So I sent them back and received XXL but of course they are too long (and still tight). So I retune them and try a different brand. I bought these socks because people said they didn't get heat rash when they hiked them. My problem is that Smart Wool or Alpaca socks are too hot in summer. My knuckles are red and itchy. So I tried these socks on a day hike (3 1/2 miles up and down - 2000 feet of ascent). The climb up was ok but the descent in the boots I use for hiking left my heels sore and sore. Just placed another order. They are snug so if you have big feet definitely go for the taller route but they are very comfortable especially when I put my boots on. Make them more suitable. I have shoe size 12-12.5, height 6'0, weight 190 pounds and I ordered the largest size of these socks they had. They were still MUCH small. The upholstery design is beautiful and the materials feel comfortable. They fit the foot well although a bit tight but the problem is the leg/calf part is tiny and very tight.
