Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Breeze Bay Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control and Receiver Set: Hampton Bay Harbor Breeze Hunter Replacement Kit, Conventional

This universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control kit is specifically made for Hampton Bay and Harbor Breeze fans, hunter etc, but works with almost all regular ceiling fans. The rated power of the receiver is 240W, which far beyond the market's carrying power capacity. The superior rated power capacity carrying allows you to access more light bulbs, greatly extend the service life. The performance of this remote control kit is stable and it responds quickly, making it a great choice for you to control the ceiling fan. Our receivers use more advanced technology. They use 2 relays which are upgraded components. The dimming performance of the upgraded relay is better than the thyristor, and provides a better load-carrying capacity for fans and incandescent lamps. The upgraded receiver size is smaller and safer than the receiver using thyristors. Fan button controls 3-speeds (high/medium/low). Please note that the remote control kit does not have the function of Reverse. Light dimmer button just controls the brightness of the incandescent lights, if your light is LED, only control the LED on/off. NOTE: If you have PULL CHAINS SWITCH, before using the wireless remote control, use the PULL CHAINS SWITCH to turn the wind speed to maximum and turn the fan light on. Only in this way can the PULL CHAINS SWITCH and wireless remote control be used together.

A bit big and very light

I like this remote, it works well but it's a bit big and clunky. The holder is wobbly and the remote control is difficult to insert. But it works well, nice feature, you can just click on the speed you want to turn the fan on, you don't have to toggle between all three and there's a superset button to turn it off.

Pros
  • Long range
Cons
  • Weight

Transmitter too thick

The transmitter was too thick, 8mm (5/16") thicker than the original transmitter. Failed to fall in. 3 stars for too thick, not for functionality as I messed it up before trying it.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • boring packaging

Don't waste your time and money

This product is a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and just buy from the manufacturer. The remote feels flimsy and cheap, and the device itself was loud from the start. Less than 1 month later and now I'm spending money on a manufacturer made replacement. Our original unit lasted over 5 years and never made a sound. It's garbage.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Not suitable! fits accessory

Replacing a receiver on a fan is painful enough, even though there's no part that just won't fit. As you can see in my photos the RCVR part is not the same as in the photo. It worked and might have fitted if our fan hadn't been on a sloping ceiling, but it just so happened that the part didn't fit. Really annoying considering I spent a lot of time trying to find the only version (lights on/off) that fit our needs.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Pros
  • The fan button controls 3 speeds (high/medium/low). Please note that the remote control kit has no reverse function. The light dimmer button simply adjusts the brightness of the incandescent bulbs, if your light is LED you just control the on/off of the LED.
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Transmitter too thick

The transmitter was too thick, 8mm (5/16") thicker than the original transmitter. I had a hard time installing it, so the insulation on the antenna was broken and a short circuit occurred. It is my fault for getting stuck in place. One star for too thick not for its functionality as I messed up before trying it.

  • Our receivers use more advanced technology. They use 2 relays which are upgraded components. The dimming characteristics of the improved relay are better than those of the thyristor and offer better load capacity for fans and incandescent lamps.
