Description of 🧺 Stainless Steel 300 Micron Mesh Brewing Hopper Basket - Perfect Brew Filter for Homebrew Dry Hops, Beer, and Tea Kettles

FILTER BEER OR MAKE TEA: We love beer, but what is better than the beverage itself is the satisfaction of creating it; The G. Francis Brewing Hopper Basket, Stainless Steel 300 Micron Mesh – Cornelius Keg Homebrew Dry Hops Beer and Tea Kettle Brew Filter is designed for brewing systems to contain hops while keeping the debris out of pumps, chillers, and your finished beer, resulting in a clearer beer and better taste; Suitable for beer brewing, making compost tea, and putting into a boil pot. EASY TO USE: Simply pour hops directly into this filter and place in your kettle system during the boil; Holds up to 2 ounces of leaves; Works in a wort/boil kettle or in a keg for dry hopping; Add any hops to brew lighter or stronger beer depending on your taste. FILTER MORE: Large filter can hold up to 2 ounces of leaves and fits a 5-gallon keg; Constructed from stainless-steel and 300-micron mesh to securely hold hops without loose debris. DURABLE: 300-micron mesh that will not wrinkle or easily damage; Frame made from firm stainless steel for strength and longevity; Will resist rust, corrosion, heat, and pressure; Enables easier sterilization prior to brewing and easy cleanup. REUSABLE: Easier than beer cloth hops bags to remove, clean, and sanitize; Washable –Put in the dishwasher as a separate load with no soap, or simply use a garden hose (a no-rinse cleaner and sponge after you rinse works, as well); No need to be completely spotless since it will be sanitized in the boil.

A promising solution to prevent the use of spent hops in beer.

This is only my first time using my hop basket so my experience is very limited; but so far I am very impressed. Seems well done. I don't understand why some people say that the cap can come loose under the pressure of swollen hops when screwed on and I couldn't break it with reasonable force. Good packaging, fast delivery and very competitive prices

Pros
  • kegs and kegs
Cons
  • boring packaging

Worked beautifully

I bought 5 of these and used them as filter screens in ordinary barrels used as fermenters. I drilled a hole in the top and connected them to the ends of the dip tubes in each keg. I pumped the beer out of the primary pressure tank and they filtered out the yeast and hops without clogging when transferred to the secondary tank. I use them as a secondary step in dry hopping. They are durable and easy to clean. I think they will last a very long time.

Pros
  • kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

One of my key devices

I recently started using this right in a keg. I took the chain off the top and didn't look back. I made an American blonde with an ounce of hops in the keg. My wife and I killed this barrel in a week during the hottest week of June. In this funnel I then made an imperial stout with cacao nibs and toasted coconut. Delicious. Just tonight I made a second blonde using Zappa hops and freeze dried strawberries in this funnel. i love this shop This made dry hopping an easy task.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • I won't say anything

A few things I'd like to share after a few months of use

I've been keg hopping for about five months and there are some improvements that could be made. First, the bottom is like a small cup and doesn't have holes like a screw cap. If you fish it out of the barrel, it doesn't drain well. In addition, the hops in the lower "cup" are still half pelleted, as if they had not been completely consumed. It's probably a good 1/2 ounce, which is important. I drilled a hole in the bottom "cup" and moved the locking ring connector down so it now hangs upside…
