Burnt out bulbs: exterior lighting

I had high hopes for these headlights. Living in a dark private area, I wanted to supplement my porch lighting without using a lot of electricity. It seemed the answer was LED lighting. And they are bright and glow beautifully, but upon receipt one bulb blew out immediately. The seller contacted me (good customer service!) and asked how I liked my product. When they reported a blown bulb, they immediately sent me another one. I liked it very much. But shortly after, the other two lights wentโ€ฆ

Great price and very bright!

Great price! I bought 7 filaments to replace some cheaper LEDs which after only 2 years deteriorated significantly in the UV (and eventually all died due to a nearby lightning strike). Seven of them together give a lot of light; they light up the treetops above them, and below is almost daylight. It's also worth noting that unlike the cheaper LEDs they've replaced, they're all 120V and wired in parallel. This means that 1) a dead bulb won't destroy other bulbs per strand and 2) you can easilyโ€ฆ

UPDATED: Lamps require dielectric grease in the base. otherwise there will be problems

Update 3/21/19: When I posted my first review I thought I'd try unscrewing each bulb and wiping the base of the bulb and the inside of each socket with rubbing alcohol to remove corrosion . Then I put some dime sized dielectric grease on the bases of the lamps and screwed them back on. Since I did this, it has rained and blown a lot, and not a single lightbulb has gone out. I have 4 strings attached to the same part of my garden. So if you buy them just grab some dielectric grease and do what I

Large LED Garland; Works well with dimmer and good customer support!

I bought these lights to use on my apartment balcony (approx 15ft x 5ft) at night to make it cozier. I ended up buying a Lutron LED compatible Credenza Dimmer (TTCL-100H-WH) to dim the brightness. This combination works great; At full brightness the lamps hum, but between 25% and 75% dimmed brightness there's no noise or buzz at all - I think that's an acceptable compromise because if I ever need full brightness I can just unplug them. Generally satisfied, with some caveats.

Very pleased with the look of these lights. They look great under and on my patio and create a lovely atmosphere in what used to be a dreary lighting fixture. Installation was a breeze once I had my feeder circuit set up, as you would expect with lightweight threads of this nature. I have a few reservations (why am I only giving 4 stars) but maybe there is room for improvement on the part of the seller? 1) The lights are 2 feet apart and that's fine. until you tie the two strands together.
