Excellent medium for phosphate export

I added the reactor along with my phosphorus export refugium and my phosphate stays right where I want it. Great alternative to GFO. Fosban or Fosfgard

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons

Reduce phosphate levels quickly!

Great products work amazingly well the only downside is they crumble very easily! This quickly reduced the phosphate problem I was having in my nano tank!

Didn't fit me at all

I bought this product at my local water supply store. I first lowered my phosphates with Rowa Phos which works GREAT and very fast to lower them to an acceptable level, then I bought a pack of Brightwell Aquatics PO4 Cubes because I was told they are the best product and need to be replaced at longer intervals. Long story short they didn't work, my phosphate levels started going up right away so I gave it a few days to see if it settled down and did its job, no luck the phosphate was back to 0…

Made my corals miserable in my nanosystem.

I have a problem with green hair in my Fluval Evo. I'm near 0 nitrate so I know I have a phosphate problem (algae eat phosphate so my reading is a false 0). My aquarium is small so I found the smallest cube I could find, soaked it according to the directions and wrapped it in fine filter twine. My duncan didn't open for two days and my mushrooms shriveled up completely. I'm not sure if the cube was too big for my system or if there was something else the corals hated about it. I removed it (it…

Looks good, I'll update in a month or so!

Let's see how much this will change my previously created sea reef aquarium! I will update my review every few months. I put this biological carrier on the built-in AIO sump. I recommend always placing loose aquarium biological media in a reusable mesh bag so that you can rinse the biological media out every two months and flush away any residue (discarded food, dead fish, fish droppings). When using this biological medium with live bacteria first 1. Soak the biological medium in a bowl of…
