Doesn't work on houseflies

May work on small bugs but not on houseflies/big bugs. The holes are too small/complicated. If the fly decides to get in, it must be determined enough to squeeze through the holes into the blue light. The flies in my house are more motivated by the smell of food than the visual stimulus of blue light. Therefore, they prefer to roam around the food rather than approach this device. Waste of money - if bet on flies.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Sturdy construction but didn't fit me

I bought these to get rid of some mosquitoes and horn flies. it is more careful to leave it inside all the time. Happy when they arrived. Sturdy construction, very nice appearance. The only problem is that while the "lanterns" zappers collected dozens of bugs every day, two of these devices could only collect 5 bugs together. MAY work for other types of insects or houses but not for me. I returned it. (Great return service, Revane. Just took him to the nearest Coles.)

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Rated F on Fakespot and DOESN'T WORK!

We live in the country and we have children who like to open doors to invite flies out into the pasture. We bought two of these to passively control the flies. They are interconnected and work on the upper floor, which is well lit during the day, and the basement, which is mostly dark. In a week I have zero kills from these units and 5 kills from using a fly swatter. I think I'll get at least one random kill as they put off a pretty bright light. Usually when I turn off the light in the houseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
