💡 Brite Innovations Halogen Bulb Wattage Review

I have an IKEA chandelier that uses these bulbs. I always have spare bulbs in the house so I can change bulbs immediately. They serve long.

These lamps will not work without modification. The base is too thin and doesn't fit snugly in the socket. I had to bend the pins to make electrical contact and the glass base cracked a bit. Otherwise the lights are on.

I've been trying for a whole year to find these lamps to replace the Italian Oggetti lamps in my bar. Although I wrote down the correct type, they were not found locally nor online before. Maybe I just made a typo in the past. They work great!

I put three of these in the IKEA lamps we use in the gallery so they burn about 40 hours a week. Four months later I came back and found that all three had already burned down. That's less than 700 hours, possibly a lot less. I wore nitrile gloves from opening the packaging to attaching the lamps so I know they are not contaminated with sebum.

The only reason I should have given 4 stars instead of 5 is that I am very disappointed, they are warm white with a yellow tint. I wanted a white light and figured "soft white" would still be white. In fact, the packaging doesn't specify what kind of light they emit. However, the quality and price are excellent. Less wattage is much better for multi-bulb satellite lights. My previous 40 watts was huge for a 6 light.

We recently remodeled our guest bathroom and our new fixtures required these types of bulbs. I found them easily enough on Revain and ordered them. They are easy to install and give off a nice, bright, but not harsh light. The good thing is that they are dimmable. They have to be durable so only time will tell. But the first impression of these bulbs is positive. Be careful not to touch the glass bulb with your bare fingers as grease on your hands can damage the bulb.

The light is good and easy to install but it doesn't seem to last as long as one might expect. I just read a review that since they are halogen they should not be touched with fingers. It's not mentioned on the packaging but I know it's true from other halogen bulbs I've installed. I think I'll give them another chance and install them keeping them in fabric to install to see if that makes a difference. Update of this review. These bulbs are not durable. Brite Innovations G9 Halogen bulbs are a great replacement for my much more expensive Sylvania Capsylite G9 bulbs. I use these lamps as a replacement for my cooker hood.
