I read the previous reviews and was a bit skeptical about this product. It was sent with other items so it arrived in a well packed box. If I had ordered separately, there would have been no hook pad in the product packaging. It was in a flat, thin paper sleeve. This hook is beautifully detailed and the surface is smooth. It feels good in my hand and is light. The hook won't snag my yarn and the tip is perfect for slipping through tight loops.

Slim and well made. I didn't have any of the splinters that sometimes happen with wooden hooks. It is just as beautiful as in the photo.

Gifted to a young friend, broke before she could use it. Not very durable. I'm disappointed, I bought one too so I gave her mine, not broken. I hope it keeps her going, but I'm not impressed.

Pretty but fragile. In the end, while working on the project, the hook broke. I'm like what happened. Maybe there was a mistake and the tree split. I'm sure I didn't. Unfortunately I just don't trust the smaller sizes of the brand. I have several plus sizes and I'm glad I have them because they are very attractive. We all want longevity too. A woman can be beautiful, but she must also be strong!
