Very easy installation. Best in Electric Motors

Replace fan assembly with 668RP. The unit was here when I moved in 11 years ago. Only recently started to squeak, so I ordered this replacement part. Three screws and pinned and the old block was out. I inspected and cleaned the area and collar. I didn't see a need to swap out the collar, so three screws and popped in. Ready. The cleaning took about 20 minutes.

Save yourself money and hassle

I bought this to make it easier to replace the fan motor in my fan. The instructions were vague and not detailed and you had to modify the case to fit the new device. After removing the old fan and remodeling the case, the new fan assembly did not fit. After spending a lot of time on this I finally removed the modification I had just made and removed the new fan motor from the new unit and replaced the old fan on the old bracket which worked fine. Save yourself the hassle and just buy the motor

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of style

Easier to improvise...

I ordered this as an exact motor and fan replacement for an existing installation where the motor failed. I was expecting to just have to unplug and remove the old build and replace with the new one like I've done with other Broan/Nutone bathroom fans. Unfortunately, the new case comes with a cheap metal band that needs to be adjusted and installed. into the main body, and then a new fan assembly is attached to it. The old case is a one-piece ABS plastic case that fits perfectly and is attached

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
