They are handcrafted, the metal is smooth and the paintwork looks great. The picture shows a white vinyl air duct, the actual package contains a foil air duct. The included zip ties had to be longer and ended with a 36" HVAC zip tie. install, pee less pebbles. The problem is that it leaks easily. When you install it, apply a liberal amount of Henry/Root Sealant around the top and sides to prevent water from seeping through.

A little smaller than I thought.

This is a normal sunroof but it is quite small. I have a 130cfm fan and really wonder if it can handle that much pressure. It does appear to be well made though, particularly the ring you screw into the device from the attic. I don't see how you fit those collared vents into the hole you cut in the roof! You just slip these under the clapboard and then attach the part where the hose goes to on the attic side, which worked really well for me. Sliding the vent under the shingles is sure to bang…

Works well but there is a trick to fitting the collar into the lid

This is a good kit, here's my take on it: PROS:* It includes the parts needed to do the job to do* Appears to be of good quality * Includes an adapter foam tape that allows you to use a 4" duct on a 3" collar. Then screw them together. CONS:*Instructions aren't very clear on how to install it. I went on YouTube and found a lot of great short videos that made a lot more sense, especially the one from this old house.* There are only 2 Nail holes, not 4. I want 4 so I can nail all 4 corners.

Neat Looking Low Profile Vent Cover

We often use these when remodeling bathrooms that previously had no vents. Pretty easy to install, but I don't recommend homeowners going through the roof unless they're familiar with roof repairs. The metal cover must be installed so that the side and top flanges follow the same soil pattern as the shingles around them. Don't just lay it on shingles and smear it with roof tar. It is best to hire a roofer for an hour to install the metal cover if you are unsure. It's cheaper than hiring one to…
