Apparently Broan has 2 filters of the same size: B29 for duct and 41F for non-duct. They are the same size, just different thicknesses and different degrees of filtering. For obvious reasons, I assume buyers will look for 41F for non-channel filters as stated in the product description. I read a lot of speculation about what kind of filter they got that was thinner and looser. I don't know if it's "fake" or not, but I was told anyway it would be 41F 1/2" thick.
