Good quality unit. Excellent Technical Manual/Owner's Manual

I had an EcoWater ERO 300 that lasted 26 years but this last needed repair made me look for an alternative when the part was "no longer available". I was intrigued by the water savings ratio of 1:2 (produces 1 gallon and uses 2 gallons) which is better than the old EcoWater which was 1:3. So it's not a huge saving, but a water saving nonetheless. The installation/owner's manual is well written by a technical writer who can give good and detailed instructions which is unusual in this day and…

Reverse osmosis evolved

First of all, Brondell Circle is a damn good reverse osmosis system. It does an excellent job of filtering the well water in our home for drinking. The installation was very easy. Sleek design (which seems strange considering it's not a new iDevice or anything). At our home, Brondell replaced an 8 year old "traditional" reverse osmosis system that had failed (more on that later). So I already had plumbing, drain, and faucet lines ready for Brondel installation. I figured it out in less than 15…

Overall a great and easy to install system with a few downsides.

I am an avid gardener who designs custom hydroponic systems. In connection with my hobby, I pay close attention to the water quality. I also had and installed three other reverse osmosis systems in my previous home so I have links to compare. Pros: 1. Relatively easy to install. It took me 1 hour. Compared to some other systems I've owned, this system comes with all the parts I need so I didn't have to run back and forth to the hardware store. You will need some tools like wrenches to tighten…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automation

So far so good.: Water filtration and softener

I was looking for a reverse osmosis water filter that doesn't waste too much water (I live in California - a drought affected state) . Borrowing from a watt zero waste system, but I didn't like that it doesn't really save much water, it just diverts the waste water into the hot water line with a pump. I was concerned about the high back pressure that could cause leaks or damage to the lines. I finally saw this one at Revain and thought I'd give it a try. According to the comparison charts they…
