I have an American standard toilet. Have been buying round toilet seats for years. Didn't fit as shown in the photo. In addition, the gutter was too far back for the women in the house and too wide for the men. It seemed to spray in the same spot no matter what you ask of it. Buy better.

Just finished installing (fairly easy) and only tested once but seems to be working great. It has comfortable settings for seat and water temperature and water pressure for washing. This is probably the biggest investment I've made in my bathroom. You still use some TP, but that's just to dry off and make sure you don't miss a spot. I have a smaller toilet (no extended seat) and while the seat isn't perfectly aligned, it doesn't affect usability. Just make sure you choose the right seat size for your toilet.
