Possibility to produce cable labels, cable wraps, .

Ability to produce cable markers, cable wraps, patch panels and faceplates. Also, the QWERTY keyboard was a key seller for this product for me. This marks the work more professionally than someone writing with a marker. One complaint is that the battery drains a bit faster when stored.

Great printer for office electronics

Used for marking bags and all sorts of cords at the manufacturing company I work for. The ability to connect to a PC when creating labels for more flexibility (e.g. adding logos) is great. Because it was difficult for me to understand, THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT SUPPORT HALF-CUT FUNCTION. Tip: This label printer is most efficient when you print multiple labels at the same time. Use the chain print feature and you won't waste an inch or so of ribbon being sacrificed each time a new label begins.

Ribbon used but overall good

I like the auto cut feature. I don't like that it weighs about a quarter inch of label tape every time you need to print. The ideal is to print as many as possible on one label and then simply cut them out. I think it has something to do with the auto cut and there has to be a certain length of tape before it can be cut. I chose Brother over Dymo because of the label tape. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…

Pros

  • Ugly packaging

I mainly use this for cable marking, but I also make all kinds of labels. It works well but the UI is a bit confusing at first. The battery life is satisfactory, but loses charge during storage. My biggest complaint is that it always cuts about 1 inch of tape. If you make 1 inch labels, you're wasting half the tape just on scrap. I chose this for my business because the ribbon is readily available whereas some specialized wiremark printers require specialty ribbon that you cannot find anywhere…

Does its job well. Best in Other Office Equipment Category

Bought this to start marking a rats nest in my office. Once I know where each cord goes, I'll be more inclined to unplug multiple cords at once to actually untangle the mess. Get good, useful labels. Pretty easy to use, but if I were me I'd change some of the default settings and tweak the software a bit to make it easier to create lots of disposable labels with as little waste as possible. Use a 1 inch piece of masking tape when making a series of different (packaging) labels. It's in the…

i like this thing for other office equipment

My employer uses Brother and Brady machines. I was looking for something better than my Dymo Lettratag as it was slow and the tapes didn't stick well to everything I needed to mark. I chose Brother over Brady because I liked the choice of labels for the device and the QWERTZ. I won't hit Brady, unlaminated Brady labels are durable too. Although on each of them consumables can ruin you. The backlight is good, but the keyboard doesn't light up. Which can be a bit annoying in low light. When you…
