Blunt tip in kitchen and dining room

My old ice picks are thinner with a pointed tip that breaks ice easier and better with fewer small chips. I'm sure that the best grade of steel was used in the old picks. All my new picks are sharp but dull.

Good product best in ice buckets

I had an ice ax that was over 50 years old and lost it. After searching on Revain I found this. I don't use them for ice cream. As a do-it-yourselfer, I find them handy for many tasks in my workshop. Their quality is good, with a comfortable grip and a durable pickaxe.

Brown Foodservice Carbon Steel Ice Pick

I bought this selection because it was similar to what my mom used. When it arrived it was chrome plated. Since I drank ice with it, chrome chipping was an issue. I kept an ice ax for myself and brought it to the shop on an awl, and for ice I ordered a stainless steel ice ax.

Pros
  • This is Amazing
Cons
  • Some Mistakes

The iceman came every day or so and brought any block of ice requested and displayed a sign in our front window. (My mom complained about the mess he made in front of the ice box, but that's another story.) I use an ice pick when we're buying ice packs for a party or whatever, and the ice melts together and forms a great impossible. one piece. It's an intimidating looking tool that needs…

Good point of view; works well.

It's hard to find an ice ax these days with a good sharp point that gradually tapers towards the point, but this one deserves attention. Most ice axes today have blunt "points"; My husband and I have been looking for an ice ax like Browne-Halco for a long time. The beak is made of coated steel. The overall length of this tool is comfortable to hold and has a sturdy wooden handle. Time will tell if the stylus and pick stay in tact. We have no idea how the pickaxe is attached to the handle. We…
