The gold effect is not foil or metallic ink but a cheap gradient printed on cards with matte ink. The edges arrived already notched and the plastic coating partially peeled off so they are effectively pre-marked. Generally on the lower end of the quality scale.

Cheap low quality. Far from the quality that the US Playing Card Co. produces. Can be good for multi-card hands, or if you collect playing cards and don't use them, just look at them. IDK Maybe they work for you. Having worked as a magician for 30 years, I'm a bit of a card snob. But I also recognize cheap cards when I work with them.

I LOVE these cards! I read some negative reviews and think they are just haters trying to get something for free. Postcards are a beautiful work of art! The paper used is a bit thinner than other well known brands cards, but with a coating if the paper was thicker the cards wouldn't flex enough to be shuffled. The price is very reasonable and the seller is polite, patient and responsive! I will definitely buy more products from this seller! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Not USPC or similar WARNING! If you're looking for great cardistry cards or just a nice shuffle, this isn't it. They are sticky, have a paper-plastic sheen that doesn't allow the cards to slide gracefully, they feel awful because of the coating. I find them durable because of the thick coating, but because of the material they're made of, I'd grab a cheap bike deck every day instead. The feelings from the USPC are undeniably better.
