This corset is perfect for my steampunk costume. The fit is fantastic! I have a 32" waist and wasn't sure if I should go with the XL or XXL, so I ordered both and the XL was a better fit. I cannot praise this little corset enough. Keep in mind, this thing is a $25 corset, so it's not exactly perfection. But for what you pay, it's awesome. I'm between 115-118 lbs. I wear a 4-6 according to the size chart, says small is for US. 4-6. But according to my actual measurements and the chart I should be a large. I own probably 6 corsets and even when I was size 8-12 I've always been able to get a medium so I orginally got a small. I had to exchange it. Got this for my girlfriend for a costume. Shes petite, 5'2 around 120-125 lbs. Usually a small when it comes to tops. I heard through other reviews to select a size up. So I bought a medium for her. Turns out the Medium was ALMOST right. I had to return and buy a Large which fits perfect. So you'll definatley wanna go a size up, but to be certain I'd say go 2 sizes up to be safe. Be prepared to return and think about any time constraints if you only go one size up.

This corset is amazing! I got the brown one and it’s just gorgeous. I received compliments all night. Only complaint was the latches would pop off if I took a very deep breath. Not a big deal though. You won’t be disappointed in this product. I got a size small but the strings on the back are super long so there is a lot of wiggle room if you’re unsure what size. Also the lace on the side is awesome because I’ve got wide hips and being able to loosen that was a godsend.

The medium fit like a medium in my opinion. I'm a 27/28 waist and I could have honestly gone with the small. There is a generous amount of room for synching with the privacy material behind the laces. I'd say arounder 3". If you want it to do what it's supposed to do and synch you in then just order the size you normally are. I am about a size 12 in women's clothing and the XXL is snug. As other reviewers said - it is a bit complicated to put on and the clasps have a tendency to come unhooked. So I got this corset for my renaissance fair outfit. It does look just like the photo which is great and very well made. The reason I am giving it four stars is because the style I got only went up to an XL (I am 5’9” about 175#) which turned out to be too small due to the string to tie it. I was able to find ribbon to change it out with and then it fit well. So would recommend this to others

I wear an XL on top in women's clothes and the XXL barely fits - it's almost too small. I had to let the lacing out all the way (it's only laced downward, not top and bottom), then wound up re-lacing it with different laces so it could open further, anyway. The clasps don't want to stay shut, and if you catch a sleeve on them, they pull up and open, or work themselves open.
