I bought these to use with RGB pixel strings. For any strings that need end-of-line power, I installed them at the ends of the strings, on my power supply, and for the extension cords. I like that they are different from both my XConnectors and the 2 wire power tee connectors. So there is no possibility of accidentally connecting power from 2 different power supplies to the same string.

I used this to repair a broken connector in my 3D printer and it worked fine. The plug and socket are very, very tight when mated, which is great for watertight seals, but less so if you want an easy release mechanism. The plug is quite difficult to take apart once fully inserted to the point where I felt I might damage the wires leading to them. Overall it works well and can be used for multiple projects.

Okay, so I give credit to the following. They will work correctly despite the reason I'm giving 1 star. They pair well with cheaper connectors and seem to work great for my intended purpose. They appear to be waterproof and have good electrical continuity. But. And that's a big BUT. My kit did not have a lock nut/ring. You know the part that really holds them together. Yes, they just weren't in the package. This was a major setback for my project. So I would definitely speak of total failure.

I have bought other Christmas lights prop connectors and I have never had such quality problems. They came in a package, not a box like the others, so it might have something to do with it, but they are deformed. They're made of harder plastic at a 68-degree angle and don't fit together. I can't imagine assembling them outside on a rooftop or anywhere else in colder weather where the plastic is tougher. I couldn't get them to connect no matter how much force was applied and I don't think this…
