User friendly construction estimating system

I like how easy it is to use and customize. The program is very flexible and has many features that are useful in our industry. It's not the best for design or drafting, but we have other programs for those purposes. We use it primarily as a job cost calculator. Pros
  • Flexibility
  • You really don't need much training because this comes straight from Microsoft
  • User friendly interface which makes learning intuitive.
  • High level security built into system (encrypted)
  • Many powerful financial functions available without extra purchase!
  • Great reporting functionality
Cons
  • All fine

Easy Software for Engineering Consultants

I like the ability to send my clients a real time status of their project. I dislike that it is not as intuitive as other programs. I had to read and google on other software to try to understand the interface. I can not seem to pull up the schedule without first pulling up an invoice. I have been able to send out several invoices per day and I have been able to track my clients progress and my time which is very helpful. I like that it allows you to create different types of plans as well as…

Pros
  • I like that I can use this program to create drawings and submittals and submit documents such as permits and insurance claims
Cons
  • I have to read the user interface to understand it
