Based on our own experience, this bullet style antenna is not only an aesthetic improvement for the Jeep, but also enhances signal reception while driving... The installation process was a breeze taking only a few minutes to attach onto the existing antenna base. However, the antenna is slightly shorter than the original, so it may not provide as strong of a signal in rural areas. Good product but easy to steal.

I stopped having this antenna a week before it was stolen from my jeep. You have to install and remove using a tool that not everyone has. This was likely removed with simple pliers or by hand in the grocery store parking lot.
