Good value for money: trunk and holder

Pretty solid unit. I needed another one of these so I tried this one. My other attaches and then tightens securely. This one just sits there and doesn't seem to tighten it in any way other than a spring holding it in place. It is free and rests on the seat and steering wheel. If the seat was free, I think it would just slide off. However, it seems to be working. If I were to take another, I would prefer the one that is more addictive.

DO NOT BUY! Please read

Do not buy this item. On the way the locks opened and we lost our two favorite bikes. The bars were still on the bike rack and upon inspection the latches were in the open position and bent. Our bikes were standard cruisers; nothing unusual in terms of weight. We were very lucky not to hit anyone when our bikes went off the busy freeway. Next time I will definitely use a better known brand.

Pros
  • Hands-free mode
Cons
  • There are defects

Can't always use it.

What I've learned is that the wide end snaps under the seat on average road bumps. This is because the hook is too small so it doesn't properly support the saddle and therefore the rear of the bike. The lever that is supposed to lock the rear seat of the bike bends, causing the seat to fall out of its bracket again because the hook is too small. give it a low rating.

  • Great for outdoor activities

Do not buy. Best Car Racks and Holders

This bar is as simple as it gets. I've used it half a dozen times with no problems. If I lose it, find a way to break it, I will buy it again. No doubt. *Edit* * June 5, 2020 * Do not buy this bike rack. He dropped my bike twice today. I thought it was my fault the first time. Then it happened again. Luckily I was only going 10 miles an hour. This is not a permanent item. I left my original review. If it hadn't broken it would have been replaced if stolen. But I have a significant investment in

Beware! The hinges are loose!

I have never left a review but it is very dangerous so I am in no hurry. The pivot hinges that keep it attached to the bike under the seat and handlebars loosen and open wide. I almost lost my bike from the stand on the freeway and had to pull over in a 70 mile traffic jam to try to fix it (unsuccessfully). If I didn't have seat belts because I didn't trust the bar I would have caused a horrible accident. I'm lucky to have avoided disaster and this bar is back in Revane. I wanted others to know

Definitely seems appropriate.

Bought this unit for my wife's bike. I needed a way to secure her bike (down tube frame) in the trunk. The device makes a pretty solid impression. Once the clamps are in place around the headset/handlebar post and around the frame under the seat, the rack post hook slides right over it, creating downward pressure that holds the handlebars and bike securely in place. I don't understand how a bike with these handlebars can detach from the rack after the clamp is installed. I hope I don't know. I…

I think for the price I made the right choice - used a few times and works great as intended - keeps the bike secure and makes it easy to ride the bike mine transport woman. The only thing I would say is that I was a bit taller with the smaller loop - my wife is quite small and her saddle should be almost all the way down and the bike has an extra reflector. seat post, it is very difficult to squeeze the post with the extra layer of plastic from the reflector mount to fit the small loop. I take
