Good working product.

C Crane is well known in radio circles. I have several CC products. This is another example of quality. If you need a wired indoor or portable antenna, this will work very well.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • I will not say anything

Great little signal booster that really works

Really boosts the signal, maybe twice as well as a single antenna. I use it in a very small radio and it picks up stations from about 100 miles away.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Boosts the signal phenomenally. I use cheap scorpion.

Boosts the signal phenomenally. I use a cheap Scorpion eon 2 for camping weather needs. Before I only had 6 pre-programmed stations and no additional frequencies. I tried it with a 23 foot antenna. Only 6 feet and I have all AM/FM/weather stations with a little bit of noise. Imagine if I had all 23 feet 😀

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Negative is present

Use this with my CCrane Skywave and Tectun 880 radio Branch with clip or something around the house. Outside is always better. The combination of longer antenna length and a capacitor in series with the coil antenna definitely works for receiving distant shortwave stations. Not for the AM broadcast band on these radios as in this mode they are only connected to the internal ferrite antenna and not to the external whip antenna.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Some problems

Improves shortwave radio reception with standard whip antenna

Used with my CCrane Skywave and Tectun 880 radio Tree or any object around the house. Outside is always better. The combination of longer antenna length and a capacitor in series with the coil antenna definitely works for receiving distant shortwave stations. Not for the AM broadcast band on these radios as in this mode they are only connected to the internal ferrite antenna and not to the external whip antenna.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

I actually use it now on an old Heathkit WWV clock.

I first connected my old Heathkit GC-1000 "Most Accurate Clock" because it always had reception problems in this apartment. I'm not sure how much this improved things, but after re-syncing to WWV on power up, the mysterious 10 minute offset that suddenly appeared last year was gone (I suspect it was more a reset than a reset). on an antenna). I bought this clock (and RS-232) for my Western Digital Pascal MicroEngine after getting tired of manually entering the date and time every time I booted…

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • old

Antenna clamp not tight

The clamp does not fit snugly on my antenna which I believe is a simple standard telescopic antenna. This is on a compact AM/FM/SW Radio Shack. I placed it as close as possible to the base of the antenna where it's thickest, but that's not possible. He just slid around. Use some aluminum foil to increase contact. It seems to me that the meaning of the clamp is to clamp tight. Living in Manhattan hasn't improved my reception, but maybe it's because of all the noise from the tall buildings. I do…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • disappears
