Basic shorts are the best in my rating

Good basic sports shorts. These are comfy shorts that feel a bit big. My son loves them and finds them comfortable. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • summer must be. They are light and comfortable for my active son. Fits well, although it keeps growing.
Cons
  • Good shorts but run small. Order a size larger and you'll be fine.

Ordered for both boys.

I ordered both boys different sizes. The eldest son was the right size, but the younger was not. I ordered an XL for my junior and a large uniform for my senior. I got the large for my older one and the XLs were very small and they fit like a large.

Pros
  • Great suggestion - they're long in case your kid doesn't like them.
Cons
  • Fits fine

Ideal for sports or cycling

No complaints about the Champion brand as we have many of their clothes as my son loves comfortable clothes. My 10 year old son wears size M (8-10), slim and they fit perfectly. Drawstring at the waist to put on, fabric keeps perfectly dry, has small holes. You can't see through it when it's standing, but if you hold it up to the light you can see through it, as shown in my drawing. Good pockets and soft fabric as it is 100% polyester. They are perfect for cycling or sports.

Pros
  • our sons love them
Cons
  • Turns out smaller than stated

Good shorts - my new review

The shorts are true to size. The fabric is soft, stretchy, lightweight and breathable. Outer layer 100% polyester, inner layer 76% polyester, 24% rubber. There are two decent sized side pockets. The shorts are very comfortable and do not restrict movement. They are ideal for indoor or outdoor sports or active games. The shorts are well made and sewn well.

Pros
  • Ideal. Son is 5ft 1in, weighs 100lbs and has a slim build. They are a good length and quality/thickness. Bought 5 pairs.
Cons
  • The material can be fragile, which can lead to tears and holes

Champion shorts in my review

I am very happy with the purchase. The shorts fit well, have pockets (a big plus) and are comfortable. Good color variety. I have ordered several.

Pros
  • Good product...
Cons
  • Mesh shorts look cheap and snag easily. Don't really like these.

Buy more - my new review

The shorts are of very good quality. Order in more colors. My 5 year old is 40lbs, wears a size small and fits great. Has a working thread, HALLELUJA!

Pros
  • true size
Cons
  • The size was much larger than expected. I received an XS which is listed as 4-5 years old. Much better than other 4-5 year old clothes we have.

Nice shorts in my review

My son loves them and wears them often. The fabric is durable. I was concerned because they look transparent when I open the packaging but when he wears them they are not visible. Overall good buy.

Pros
  • Excellent quality
Cons
  • Limited color options available

Cheap but baggy

Bought these for my son who normally wears a 14/16. They are huge and baggy. My eldest son, tall and thin, wears men's shorts, can wear them, and they are baggy on him too.

Pros
  • Good fit and light mesh
Cons
  • A bit big for my so. But they will grow up in it... but it was worth it.

Comfortable, light. Walk a little more.

My son says they are light and comfortable. The material seems to be good and the C9 line is solid overall. We first ordered size XL, the tag says 14/16, it was too big in the waist and very roomy. The Large 12/14 fits him perfectly and still has some room to grow. He usually wears size 4 pants and shorts which are usually a bit roomy as he is slim but not overly so. In general they are good in construction and color, just pay attention to the sizes.

Pros
  • Classic mesh sportswear
Cons
  • Long delivery time

NOT the same as retail C9 shorts

For the last 4 years my son has been wearing C9 shorts from the same retailer but they no longer worked. He's tall, skinny and these shorts have always fitted him perfectly, even when other brands didn't. He wore a size L last year and I was excited to try them in a size XL. They are MUCH bigger and baggy! I'll try size L (despite the fact that his current L shorts are too small) and see if that works.

Pros
  • 9" inseam
Cons
  • Doubtful

Size different than before

This brand/style was previously only sold at a popular retail store (the one with the red bullseye) and I've always bought them every summer because they were affordable and durable. never torn. I was disappointed when this store stopped selling the brand but relieved to see that Revain are now selling C9 mesh shorts. However, if like me you are looking for the same style of C9 shorts previously sold at this major retailer, be aware that the sizing/cut isn't the same as it was in years past. My

Pros
  • Drawstring closure
Cons
  • Expensive
