Air filters are similar to oil filters, how can we tell them apart? We can handle it, look at it, but we have no real way of properly judging one from the other. I have been using Fram products for years and they appear to be well made and I appreciate their value, name and overall experience with their products. So from that point of view I give it five stars. It works, it filters debris out of the airflow and that's what I'm looking for.

FRAM same quality as my OEM filter and 1/3 cheaper. Depending on road conditions and mileage, I try to change the air intake filter every year. A dirty filter increases the load on the engine and reduces mileage. I'm sure I'll get my money back long before it's time to install another one. At today's prices, it doesn't take much improvement to save $10 or $15. Came right out the door with PRIME in a few days. as promised

In case you haven't convinced the other 50 like-minded people: It works and costs only a fraction of what the retailer wants to charge you for the replacement. Took about 5 minutes to change including a walk outside. If you don't know how to change it yourself, YouTube is like magic. There will almost certainly be someone with your car who has posted a video on how to replace it. You don't even need screws. Clips only. I promise you are smart enough.

After reading other reviews I wanted to share my experience. The actual filter doesn't look like it does on the box, but mine was actually a Fram filter. I've included a photo of the Fram logo printed on the filter along with the product number and the "Made in China" label. It amazes me when people automatically assume that a "US company" won't outsource work to cheaper developing countries. Yes, it's a fram filter. Yes, it is made in China.
