As many other reviewers have complained, the screw heads pop out with very little pressure which is very annoying. Tired of companies looking at the bottom line only at the expense of consumers.

The screws that come with these hinges have a maximum torque of maybe 5 pounds. I tried driving four screws and three heads broke off with a screwdriver. It took literally minimal effort to rip off the heads. I like how they close after using my own screws, but I feel like those gills need to be included with halfway decent set screws.

One more check to confirm - Do not use the screws that come with this hinge! I thought I had a light hand to make it work, but I didn't. Out of the 32 screws I used, 10 came loose, even with pilot holes, even with the minimum screwdriver setting, even finger tight at the end. And if two break in the same place, it's very difficult to sink another one without moving the entire hinge.

I love hinges. Excellent value for money and quality. BE VERY CAREFUL when tightening the screws. Two of them had their heads unscrewed from the chute, they just popped out and left the chute in the closet. This has never happened to me with any screw. I had to drill new holes in the metal and use better screws which luckily I had.

Beware! Although the hinges appear to be of good quality, there are 2 negative points. The screws are cheap steel and easy to cut even with a pilot hole pre-drilled in hardwood. Don't even try to use them or you'll have to pull out the broken screw, which is tricky with hardwood (I've worked with Cherry). I had to buy good screws from a hardware store. The second problem is that the mounting plates are NOT removable, making them difficult to mount on cabinet doors. I probably wouldn't buy them…

The hinges themselves appear to be quite good, although the integrity of the metal leaves a lot to be desired judging by the number of flexes. Speaking of poor metal integrity, DO NOT use the included screws! Even after drilling the pilot holes, two of the screw heads broke off without much torque, more than doubling the installation time as I had to dig out the broken shafts embedded in my closet doors right where I needed to fasten them.
