Great cable - DVI cable

I wanted to add a third monitor to my system (football crazy during pandemic mania lol). This requires a DVI-DVI cable. Ordered this one (I'm usually pretty good at picking decent stuff at Revain). So far it has been very effective. It came quickly, it was well made, it worked right away (you know how Finnish cables can be sometimes). Highly recommended.

Works - the thumbscrews are the weak point

. 2021 The cable works to transfer video from the computer to the monitor. The weak point are the knurled screws. They are very thin and do not allow normal pinching with your fingers. Yes, there were slots for a small screwdriver and I used them several times until the plastic broke. Just nailed them. weak plastic.

  • . Great price

Super fat! Works but buy another.

The cable works which is an important part. But it's super thick! When I plugged it in, it looked like it was going to bend and break the DVI connector on my computer. I had to open the case, loosen the screws on my graphics card and slide it as deep as possible to safely insert this cable into the DVI connector. I think that's not a problem if you have a lot of space at the top. and under your port, but that's not most people. This is bad design.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Cheap looking/poor quality

This cable's jacket is VERY thick (50% thicker than my old DVI cable) so it won't fit in the routing holes on my monitor arms. It also has a weird plastic feel. It seems that the insulation around the wiring is not stretched, and when the wire is bent, it creaks inside, as if something is rubbing. The wire was also severely twisted due to the way it was wrapped in the package and there was a visible bulge where the kink was as if the wire/shield had come loose. I'm not sure what this might have

  • Comfortable to use

Works great with monitor and desktop

was the last HDMI cable setup. Frustrated, I found this product at Revain that allowed me to connect an old monitor to my desktop. In short: this product works. As long as your monitor and computer support DFI-D, my experience with it has been positive. The wire itself is physically strong and will likely outlive me physically if cared for. Given that the wire is tucked away behind my computer setup, I probably never need to touch it except to clear the area of dust and debris. As always, fast…

Extends the flexibility of my monitor as a streaming device

DVI may be dated compared to HDMI and a display port, but I used a relatively short DVI cable with my 24-inch ViewSonic monitor because it came with the monitor and I thought that my HDMI connections don't work. We don't have a TV in our rustic summer home in Vermont's Green Mountains, so the computer and monitor are used for extensive movie streaming and from YouTube for PBS NewsHour. I wanted to place the monitor a few feet from my desk on my coffee table so we could stream from the comfort…

Dislike packaging

I needed a longer cable to move my monitor to the other side of my desk. The length fits perfectly! The picture quality seems good, but I didn't really like the packaging. The cord was completely bent in half. and then rolled up! Why don't you just roll up the cable like the others I've bought with it? I'm an electrician by trade and I know first hand what you can do by bending the wire in half. I wasn't happy to see it. Some cables and wires actually have a "maximum bend radius," for the…
