Extends the flexibility of my monitor as a streaming device
DVI may be dated compared to HDMI and a display port, but I used a relatively short DVI cable with my 24-inch ViewSonic monitor because it came with the monitor and I thought that my HDMI connections don't work. We don't have a TV in our rustic summer home in Vermont's Green Mountains, so the computer and monitor are used for extensive movie streaming and from YouTube for PBS NewsHour. I wanted to place the monitor a few feet from my desk on my coffee table so we could stream from the comfort of the couch. To do this we bought this benfei extended length cable and it worked as it should. The screen images were excellent. We now have a new 24 inch 4K monitor and we have figured out how to get the HDMI port to work with it. The DVI cable is now in reserve and enjoy the holidays.
