Works well for extra storage. Not for applications.

I'm using this with a Fire TV 4K Stick to add USB storage and power. I managed to get the Fire TV Stick to see USB storage, but it doesn't use it for apps, just storage. Good for the price, just don't expect it to store apps.

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Style 90

Exactly what I needed!

I have a 2nd Gen Fire TV Cube and wanted to have a direct Ethernet connection and add more storage. Neither is possible with the adapters supplied by Revain. This center definitely fits. I was able to easily add additional storage and can stream without buffering. I'm very glad I was able to find this. It turned my Cube into a real beast!

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Making me nervous

Suitable for wired Ethernet on a Fire TV flash drive.

Bought to use with a Fire TV Stick 4K and all it took was to physically (or in between) plug it in and the Fire TV Stick 4K started doing it to use instead of WiFi (after downloading off - for 5V power dissipation). When RJ45 is disconnected, it will automatically return to WiFi. Haven't noticed any problems yet. I haven't measured the Ethernet throughput and haven't tried the USB hub yet.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • A bit torn

Mixed review Best of USB network adapters

I have a Fire TV Cube with a Revain network adapter. Analiti speed tests on the device are stable at around 95 Mbps. I replaced my Revain network adapter with a Smays adapter so I can add a USB stick to my cube. The connection is very easy and everything worked until I checked the speed. My Cube's speed steadily dropped to 62 Mbps. I went back to the Revain adapter and tested the speed at 95 Mbps. I contacted support with screenshots and they said it was reliable. There is no explanation for…

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Poor set

Great way to connect ethernet and storage to Fire TV 4K

I wanted to add storage to my Fire TV 4K and connect it to my ethernet at the same time. The problem with the standard OTG cable is that it doesn't have an Ethernet connector, so what to do. The SMAYS OTG Cable/Hub/Ethernet Adapter was the answer. It is very well made, equipped with 3 powered USB ports and an important Ethernet port. I'm using a 32GB Samsung USB drive (configured as an internal drive on a Fire TV - watch the Troypoint.com YouTube video to see how) and it works great. The…

OTG Cable to USB Hub with LAN Ethernet Adapter for TV Stick 4K Cube

Easy to install. The ethernet adapter works fine. USB ports work as advertised. The kit includes a power cord but no adapter. When you apply power to the device, it gets quite warm (almost HOT). Works well without additional power. -hjp

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • Difficult to remember but

Great OTG hub for FireStick TV with built-in Ethernet adapter.

First I tried the Revain ethernet adapter but it didn't work. Since this is a power supply for the firestick and ethernet adapter, and a USB hub in my setup, the power supply isn't enough for three devices. The Revain adapter was never seen by the Firestick and randomly dropped the connection to the hub's SD card. This powered hub solved 2 problems. The Firestick can now "see" the built-in adapter and SD card in the hub. The only bad thing is that it's not USB 3, but then again, OTG only…
