📺 Cable Matters Slim Amplified HDTV Antenna for Indoors with Stand Review

I bought this antenna after our cable provider (the first cable provider) shut down the local NBC channel due to a payment dispute. What happened to the requirement that because the cable company gets a monopoly on cable television services, it must broadcast locally? Anyway, this antenna works pretty well - I was surprised.

At first I only had 3 public channels until I set up the channels on my TV. Then I got a lot more channels, but they disappeared and reappeared. Maybe it's because of where I live. I live on the outskirts of a big city. I am planning to buy another one for my upstairs bedroom TV. Maybe it works better since it's higher. It's still better than paying for cable TV!

In my new office, slightly underground on the first floor of an office building, I tried a few different HDTV antennas, both unamplified and amplified. The results were terrible - just a few very weak channels. Then I tried this antenna with an amplifier and the results were amazing - 28 strong channels. I liked the results so much that I bought a second antenna for my house as a backup in case we lose the cable.

A good antenna for my purposes. I cut the cable cord and found an antenna that didn't need to be wall mounted. With the stand, this little antenna sits very unobtrusively on top of my entertainment house. In my city the reception is good, it receives about 25 channels. The only downside is that it needs to be unobstructed. Placing it behind something like a TV or small plant will affect performance. Overall good value for money.

Oh my god that was sooo easy to install. It took longer to get it out of the box and remove the plastic bags than to plug and plug it in. Instant success. (I didn't even have to look at the instructions.) The "antenna" is very thin and very flexible, so I placed it between the window and the screen, since that window faces the direction I think gives the best reception would like to have . I'm in the process of resetting the cable and this antenna is the best I've bought to date. With other antennas I would get 8 to 10 channels, with this reinforced antenna I now get 15 channels. It was a great buy for the money.

This product works exactly as described. The page [.] shows that I will get 4 strong channels in my area. At first I didn't use an amplifier and only received 2 channels. When I added an amp and cranked it up to full power, I got 7 channels! 4 strong images were very clear in a wide HD resolution while the other 3 images were in square SD format.
