Works with internal SATA drives without an adapter.

Connected to LSI LSI00276 and 4 internal SATA drives. I've used this on a Solaris VM running on ESXi (vt-d migration to a Solaris machine) and had zfs mirrors set up and working. One reviewer claimed that you need some kind of adapter to connect to internal SATA drives, but I plugged it in directly with no issues. Works perfectly!

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • New Competitors

Cable transfers data at full speed SSD

Four SSDs are rated at 500MB, and four should yield around 2GB. Connected 4 SSDs in Raid O and got 2.19 GB, which is the combined maximum transfer rate of all four SSDs. I'm confident that the cable will last for many years, that's why I gave it 5 stars. Tested on an Lsi Megagarade controller (PCIE 2.0x8) installed on a legacy 990FX motherboard with an AMD FX8370 4.6GHz processor.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • Disappears

Both sizes work fine, although the SATA specification is only for .

I have two of these, one of each size. Both sizes work fine, although the SATA specification is meter compliant. This was tested with my RocketStor 6328L and 8 drives of different manufacturers, sizes, both solid state and spinning. ICY DOCK Dual Bay 2.5 to 3.5 SATA/SAS SSD/HDD without slot The floppy disk drive bay worked with it. I trust their quality to help boot from my external array to my MacBook Pro.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
