🦜 Bell-Adorned Hanging Bamboo Log Bird Toy: Featherland Paradise, Vibrant & Engaging Avian Playground Review

My Umbrella Cockatoo was thrilled with this huge new toy! I think he'll probably blow the wood to pieces in a week or less, but it's huge and very exciting for him! He tends to get bored with most toys that are too strong or toys that seem too "over the top", so this one is perfect! The perfect size for him and lots of different shapes, sizes and textures to keep him busy!

Two blue and gold MacCaws and a gold cockatoo wouldn't destroy them half as fast as any toy we've ever bought as parents in the last 8 years of BIG VIRDS. It's very difficult to find durable toys, these are the best yet! The only change I would make (and did after finally getting it two weeks later - record! They managed to chew it up because it's just bamboo I think) - is to make the top pole out of something more durable - me decided on PVC - it was a toy that keeps the fun going!

UPDATE: This toy will last about two to three weeks on macaws. But it's still the best I could find. They could have used a harder wood but my macaw loves it. My cockatoo has always liked this toy. But they changed the design and used fibrous, non-digestible nylon instead of jute. According to my vet, if swallowed, this nylon can become lodged in the intestinal tract, causing obstruction and possible death. Also, before noticing the change in design, I flushed their old water down the drain like I had for years. Nylon fibers clogged my sink and drain. Oh my god I can't believe how huge this thing was. It was worth every penny although my umbrella cockatoo has started tearing it apart and I know I will have to buy another one soon, the wood is very strong, thick and tough, hopefully it will last at least a month. All I know is that she's busy chewing on it. Their other chew toy which was much smaller took about 2 months to destroy but this one seems to really like it, highly recommend. My U2 sees each new toy as a personal challenge, and at that moment she gazes from her perch at her next conquest, waiting for her first chance to rip this thing into a heap of pieces, leaving only dangling chains. it is even bitten through, as if for emphasis.
