Fantastic though. on external SSDs

I'm someone who really pays attention to detail and when I say that it's because the manufacturer is showing a read/write performance in the product page ads here on Amazon that doesn't show up in real life becomes . They claim to have a write speed of 900MB, which is not true. That's the main reason why I don't give 5 stars. I currently have USB-C 3.2 onboard on my x570 motherboard with a Ryzen 7 3800x processor and two high-speed M.2 SSDs. Disk Gen 4. The maximum write speed was 550 MB/s…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Modern

Works with the iPad Pro 2020, unlike some USB-C drives.

This is a report from Caldigit Tuff Nano using a brand new 16-inch MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps 100W, 17-inch -OWC cable connected directly to T3 connector of MBP tested for write speed and found 700MB/write. s. 904MB/s read with Blackmagic Design Drive Speed Test. So be careful when you see a speed that says 'up'. However, it's fast and small for the money, and I'll probably buy another one for field work. Small fits my kit size well, small and fast is win-win. Go ahead and buy it…

As fast as my internal Mac hard drive *Mad scientist laughs*

So I tried it on my Windows machine first, and at first I wasn't impressed with the speed. After testing various other drives and flash drives, I've found them to be just as good as the best. So the limitation is my laptop hardware. But then I connected it to my Mac and the speed was no slower than my internal hard drive. I backed up a gigantic multi-gigabyte virtual machine almost immediately. I almost feel guilty that my internal hard drive is lagging behind where I now prefer to store files.

Pros
  • even old-fashioned people can understand
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Small and SUPER FAST.

I bought this to be able to transfer large files between computers very quickly and it does the job perfectly. I've tested data transfer speeds of around 1000MB/s over USB-C 3.1. It gets a little warm, but that's to be expected. Build quality is excellent, with USB-C and USB-A cables, plus a rubber bumper to protect the drive's metal and a handy lockable storage box.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯

  • No

Good/small SSD to have around

I've only had it for about a week but so far it works well and seems to be of good quality. I moved about 700 gigabytes of data onto the drive and it ran for about 8 hours (my old laptop was the bottleneck) without overheating. It got warm, but not enough to worry. I travel a lot for work, so this compact and lightweight drive helps lighten my carry-on. Also works great with my 2019 iPad Pro. I would recommend this drive to anyone on the market as an external SSD.

Pros
  • Good workmanship

Pros
  • I have my fingers crossed
Cons
  • This makes me angry

Bought a 1TB Tuffnano in an olive green protective case (as ex-military) for work. I liked it so much that I also bought a (really bright) tomato red 1TB model. The housing is made of aluminum. Everything comes in a plastic carrying case with a USB-C cable. Currently, the drives included in the 1TB model are industry-standard 2230 M2 NvME - Toshiba/Kioxia specifically - so you're basically getting what could also be used in some small computers and some laptops. From experience I can say that…

Pros
  • Built-in Tuff - IP67 certified for water, shock and dust resistance
Cons
  • No instructions
