Doesn't have the nice Sony features, but it's new.

Doesn't have nice Sony features, but it's a new CD player that few people make. The design isn't user-friendly, as the volume defies logic - clockwise is quieter, and it's directly open-ended, so the volume changes with every CD change. It worked for 3 months and now it's broken. It cuts out intermittently, won't start, and cuts out frequently when using ff or backwards. I wish there were alternatives as I use this at night for insomnia. I'm tempted to share my bed with a boombox after using…

Loved the unit for portable CD players

I am only giving this particular unit 1 star because it is defective. If you play a CD while sitting on a table, it sometimes stops without any sudden movement or movement of the table for no apparent reason. Once stopped, playback may or may not resume. The amount of time between stopping and restarting (if it restarts) varies. Sometimes I've tried to restart by double-clicking the 'Skip' button or the 'Pause' button to no avail. A player with good sound, good headphones, the ability to play discs with little damage and a couple of small flaws

I use it not as a portable, but as a small player with headphones for listening to music , both for ambient noise and isolate as well as not to disturb anyone. For example, I will not go with him. I can't comment on the different playback modes (repeat, shuffle, intro or programmed tracks) as I've never used them on a player.
