Good skillet, especially for fish.

I've never been a fan of non-stick cookware, perhaps because when it first came out (yes, I'm showing my age!), it wasn't very good. This new product is excellent. I've used cast iron skillets all my life and still do, but for some things like searing fish without sticking, it's excellent no matter how much olive oil you use. Also, probably buy a wok and small frying pan.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent grill pan. Kitchen & Dining

I needed to replace my last grill pan which I had thrown away over the years. Either way, this Calphalon grill pan works great and I appreciate being able to use the metal in the pan without damaging it. The packaging says it comes with a lid. I didn't expect a lid. I contacted Calphalon and they confirmed the lid was not included. I think it's a typo on the packaging. The lid on my old grill pan is a bit big for this pan, but it works well enough.

  • Regular Price

Disappointed Best cookware

I have several pans from this range and have never had a problem. My issue with this pan is that the center of the hob is raised slightly so it's not completely flat. A small mound about 3 inches in diameter formed on the inside of the pot in the area where the logo was printed on the bottom. Not very good. Doesn't need to be used immediately, I would return it.

  • Weight
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Bent in the middle: cookware

Bought on 2 August 2020, a new pan lay flat. Since then it has buckled in the middle during moderate cooking and no longer lies flat on the glass stove. This is my second Calphalon pan of this model; the first one also bent, but at the time I wasn't sure when the damage occurred, before or after arrival. This pan is great for cooking, a dream to clean, but there is a major manufacturing/design flaw. It's too expensive to trade so cheaply. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Some difficulties

My first impression is excellent quality. I now have many Unison Slide pans and frying pans and am happy with the non-stick coating but disappointed that the coating gets scratched when using a plastic spatula. Although Calphalon states it can withstand metal utensils, I'll just use plastic on the new Signature and see how it holds up. I wish Calphalon made a 14 inch pan for frying more food.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great frying pan! the best in the dishes

I've read negative reviews about it being too bulky in the middle. I've had mine for almost a year now and use it often. No bloating. I know most of my nonstick pans say not to use high heat. I didn't heat above average so it might have something to do with not being bloated. I still love this pan, best skillet I've ever had and I'm in my 60's. I got them for frying bacon because regular pans have a curved side. I also found it great for roasting pork chops, making pancakes, whatever! I am very

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Without insurance

I've been waiting for this pan for a long time. It's a full 12" and is perfect for the largest item on my electric stovetop. But what makes this pan great are the low sides. They're about 1" tall, making them perfect for frying bacon, grilled cheese, for sautรฉing veggies and whatever that should be in contact with the bottom of the pan but also easy to rotate The low sides eliminate the need to tilt and maneuver the turner to accommodate the normally high sides of the pan This is fantastic Ifโ€ฆ
