Two issues have been fixed.

I had two problems with mine. I couldn't pour quickly because with the lid closed no air could get into the jug other than through the spout. I solved this problem by drilling a small hole in the top of the lid at the opposite end of the spout. Other reviewers have mentioned that the lid is difficult to remove or rotate. I used a chisel to remove the raised strips on the side of the lid and now there is no problem. Both problems solved, I'm happy with the pitcher now but I took off a star for…

Only one downside - catering and entertainment

Overall this is a good jug. My only complaint is that the lid is so tight that I have to reach back to help get it out of the jar. We have another similar jug from another manufacturer that has a lid that stays in place even when pouring, but rotates easily so the holes in the lid are on the side and the lid is easy to remove. Yes, the cover is difficult to remove. The point is to pull the nose first, then the sides, and then it will break the seal and come loose. I like this tight fit and don't have to worry about it falling off and spilling. I like this pitcher because I can see through it since I don't keep water in the fridge.
