Overall this is a good jug. My only complaint is that the lid is so tight that I have to reach back to help get it out of the jar. We have another similar jug from another manufacturer that has a lid that stays in place even when pouring, but rotates easily so the holes in the lid are on the side and the lid is easy to remove. Yes, the cover is difficult to remove. The point is to pull the nose first, then the sides, and then it will break the seal and come loose.
