Just a note for people considering this item for car washing: This type of filter is not suitable for removing water stains. Neither the carbon nor the KDF filter media significantly affect the mineral content of the water. They are great for removing sediment/metals respectively and this can be somewhat useful, but this filter works best as a pre-filter for an ion exchange resin filter.
