Mounting rail without mounting hardware

What's good about a "mounting rail" without mounting hardware? This 50 cent piece of metal comes with no papers or equipment! It's best to build the track yourself by buying scrap aluminum, you'll have to go to the hardware store anyway. RV dealers have about four months to install the rail, so they can't help either. Absolute waste of money and time.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Contact seller

Okay folks who made this up. Your instructions say what to attach to the studs, especially on an aluminum sided van! Then why are you making it too short!? Your end bolts should be 16 inches on center! The total length is 16 inches. Really stupid. I have to use a long screw to angle it to try to hit the bolt. POOH!

It works but no hardware and a bit short

I used it to mount my BBQ grill externally on wheels to the side of my toy truck which it worked great for. Two things though: it had to come with the hardware, and it could have been a few inches longer. The length was the biggest issue for me as I found it more difficult to line up the holes with the cleats for a secure fit. If it were longer, you would have more space to work. I ended up adding a few custom holes to accommodate the stud attachment.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Useless features

Requires swivel base for hob and range cookers

This works great but really needs a swivel base, only 90 degrees of movement makes movement very limited. I have a welder, I will make a change. You can add updated pictures. Update: I thought a round tube could be made with a full twist, but decided to go with the standard method of making a square tube, it's drilled to move as is, or lifted and rotated 90 degrees, and i made it possible also go 4 inches high. 45 minutes with torch, welder and drill if you have the tools.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Has quirks

Camco RV Mounting Grille on Lance Model 1685 Road Trailer

Easy installation on my Lance Model 1685 Motorhome. Finding a convenient location close to the propane supply is critical. The grill hose is quite short and the mounting options are limited. On my trailer, I installed it on the outside of a storage compartment that I could access from inside the trailer. This made it easier to fit the large washers as backing plates for the 4 screws, which is a good idea. I used RV glue silicone gasket to seal the holes and secure the rail. The rack easily…

All you need to know Weber Q 1200

First I'm just going to get to the bottom of what you want to know. Yes, it fits the Weber Q 1200 like a glove. No, you can't use the small 1-pound camping bottles as is. Yes you can cut off the side of the plate to make room for 1 pound bottles if you wish. For example, if you want to connect your RV's external quick connect with an air hose connector, you will need to remove the grid adjuster and return to the quick connect hose connector with the brass connector. Or buy a hose kit with…
