Good water bottle but doesn't keep you cold

We love CamelBak bottles and have many different ones. I insulated these because I poured ice water into our bottles before leaving the house at noon and the ice melted before we got to our first stop. Well, this bottle doesn't solve that problem. The only difference is that when the ice melts, the bottle does not sweat, it does not get a wet surface. Which isn't a bad thing, I guess, but I'd rather keep the water cold. It's still a decent water bottle, though, and loves the pattern.

Almost undrinkable even for an adult

Plus: These are cool bottles for children that can be dismantled for washing in the dishwasher. The design options are fun. Bad: Our almost 3-year-old can't do it at all. It's almost impossible to use a straw. I've even tried it myself a few times. You almost have to bite a straw to get a drink. It shouldn't take that much trouble to have a drink. I am amazed at all the positive reviews as I can't imagine we were the only ones to experience this. I know this isn't a one off defect because we…

After a few months it drips from the mouthpiece (standing upright)

I bought this bottle for my daughter and was so impressed that I immediately bought a second one. Although none of the parts are damaged and I've made sure the air valve isn't clogged, they continue to drip from the mouthpiece. When I close the mouthpiece, liquid rushes out when I open it. I would expect this when putting a fizzy drink in, but it's milk or diluted juice. Also, the baby may press the rubber mouthpiece too easily and spill the contents. You really need to go back to the drawing…

Constant Pain Good for Sport Water Bottles

The look and feel of the bottle is great. My son loves the alien/spaceship design and easy to carry around (2 year old). The water was quite cool-cold depending on our Mississippi weather. Now "constant pain". If you look at the pics I've posted, the orange valve pops open CONSTANTLY and you don't realize it until your kid tips their bottle to drink and the water splashes all over their clothes. The valve has several imaginary locking grooves that do not twist into anything. You just stick it…

great cup! - Sports Water Bottles

Update Hope the mug lasts longer. One fell out of a diaper bag onto the sidewalk and. irreparable crack. Our adult mugs are 7 years old and this one has not been used in over a year. very leak proof. I love that the bite valve can be replaced if needed (I have a 13 month old teether). NOTE TO PARENTS: If you also have a teething child, consider purchasing a spare bite valve to keep on hand. Like the adult camels my husband and I have, I expect this mug to last a long time. Excellent quality. I…

Easy to clean, keep water cold!

Bought this bottle for my daughter to take to school - Pros: - Fairly easy to disassemble so washing is not a problem - Water seems to stay colder than other water bottles, flows out much more reliably than i thought when i thought saw it first. Cons: The straw has to be bitten down (or pressed with the lips) to get the water out - my daughter loves to bite the straw when we're out at restaurants and while it doesn't bother me I'm sure it helps her not to curb the habit. Although there is no…

The Bee's Knees!: Sport Water Bottles

I have literally tried at least 100 different bottles, accessories and mugs for my son (now 3.5 years old). Every time I think I'll find a gold standard, I soon spot a mistake. For now this is the best thing going and the isolation feature is KEY. Other bottles make a mess with condensation. I haven't seen anyone with those sippies. My son is sometimes skeptical that his water is cold because the drinkers are so well insulated! But the best thing is the leak protection! I can see not everyone…

Decent nipples, cold duration and cleaning. Vulnerable to cracks.

My son loves these bottles, the teat is very pleasant to drink. I was hoping I would like these bottles. The first lasted long enough to go through several nipples, but was disappointed when a brief drop of about 2 feet onto the tile's surface broke off a large chunk of the outer shell. I wrote it off as an accident and ordered a second one. The second didn't last long before he returned from kindergarten with a large, long tear in his side. At least none leaked as the insulated ones have an…
