Excellent product, suitable for sports

I recently took a trip to the Grand Canyon. A full day of hiking in tough conditions and this backpack has held up great. I put ice in a hydration bag and it stayed cold for hours (which was great when Arizona's dry heat hit 100 degrees). There is actually a lot of storage space in this backpack which is amazing. I could easily fit DSLRs, bananas, cell phones, other snacks and items, which was very convenient. It's comfortable to wear and the adjustable waist/chest straps help take the pressure

Pros
  • Backpack key features: xv back panel, magnetic tube mount, organizer pocket for bike tools, four point compression, helmet hook

Ideal for medium hikes

Great backpack! I bought this for a trip to Big Bend National Park in the middle of summer. I knew I was going to do hikes that would last a couple of hours and it worked out great. I was concerned about the ice cubes puncturing my bladder but I had no problems. Even after three hours I was still getting relatively cool water. Not only does it have loads of storage space, but it's not a backpack, so that's to be expected. If you're carrying a small first aid kit, you can still squeeze it…

Ideal for running, no hopping

Ideal for running. If you're looking for a backpack that won't bounce around as you run, then you've come to the right place! I have a slightly unusual build - I'm tall (5'10") with a very small chest (37-38"). Therefore, normal upper body clothing usually does not fit me. But MULE has many strap options so you can adjust it for minimal bounce. I use it for running to the pool and swimming, and even with a decent amount of water in my bladder (40 ounces), there's more than enough room for a…

Pros
  • Three inner patch pockets. Three outside pockets.
Cons
  • socket required.

5 stars are not enough!

I bought a MULE for cycling in 1998 and changed the tank 3 times. It's still in great condition and I'll still find a use for it, although I'm very happy to upgrade to a 2016 model. This is an amazing item and I hope to get the same lifespan from it. My wife is delighted because the extra space offered by this model allows me to leave a fanny pack, but I made no promises in this regard. Also, with the 115 degree heat here in Phoenix, sometimes 2 liters isn't enough for all my activities, but 3…
