Recommended for a normal home.

It all depends on how well you install the cameras. In order to achieve the best result, they must be mounted as close as possible to the outside wall when mounting under a canopy. They work great. You have a spooky look.

Amazing 4k - Security and surveillance

The best cameras I have ever used. I thought 4 would be enough. I have ordered 2 more. Love the NVR, setup was easy, software tweaks and push updates were still noted. Too much or too little, it's a bit of a learning curve and I'm still not set up for two-way communication on my phone when I'm not at home.

Extremely Cold Operation

I was waiting for cold weather before writing this review, so today and this weekend we had a bit of cold below -20 F here in Fairbanks, Alaska. The cameras work very well along with all their features. I'll update the info as winter approaches and post if or when the cameras are having trouble with the cold. Unreliable and terrible tech support, no warranty claims

Purchased in January 2020 and in July (6 months later) the cameras started turning off one by one. I now have cameras that are not working and have been trying to get warranty support. The phone wait time is about 1 hour for each call and I had to call 5 times. They forced me to update the software, swap out the cables, and then they said they needed a higher level of support to officially determine the warranty. I finally managed to speak to him and he hung up and never called me back. The…

Great camera, 2-way audio, no monthly fee, no wifi/batteries

Great. Pros: Easy to set up (aside from updating the firmware). Connects to Ethernet for data and power so there are no Wi-Fi or battery issues. There is no monthly fee for stored videos. Excellent customer care. The picture quality is excellent. It has a record mode and a scare mode (alarm and flash). 4K cameras have two-way audio. Cons: $ to connect ethernet cables to each camera. Buy direct from Swann

Sells refurbished item as new. Just to be clear, I contacted Swann and it exceeded all expectations. I explained that my swann dvr randomly disconnects from the pet network for each camera. Then the DVI port stopped working, so I had to go from 4k to 1080 via the dash cam's VGA port. Swann support gave me specific instructions to go back to them even though I explained that I bought from Revain.
