Camera Microphone MacBook Smartphone Lavalier Review

It's a microphone! Compared to others I've bought for my GoPro Hero 5 and 7. The cable could be a little longer (shorter with glue on the microphone for motorcycle helmet use).

Yes it's cheap but the sound quality wasn't very good I'd say it's fair I bought it to hear my voice clearly on video but it wasn't that clear and picks up still on a lot of wind noise. The quality of the material is poor, the wire broke easily when the one I bought got caught on my bag's zippers.

I was very excited when I got it, and then when I started recording it always had this high, almost white noise. So it doesn't get much better than just using my phone mic. I had high hopes and don't know if this is a defect or not.

So far it hasn't worked very well. When I plug it into my MacBook Pro, I can't hear anyone (in a Zoom meeting) and meeting participants say they can hear better when it's unplugged. I tried again with headphones and pushed the mic closer to my mouth, but people still had trouble hearing. It just doesn't work.

I compared my MacBook Air's mic at 3 feet on self-recording to this mic's recording at the same distance. I found the sound quality to be worse even though this mic was closer to my face. I figured I could keep it for Zoom calls when I need to move away from my laptop, but the cord was too short.
