Excellent tripod for video and photo

For the price this is a very solid tripod with an excellent moving head. Note that I don't have any Manfrotto or high-end gear, so I can't match them. But I am very happy with this tripod. I found it easier to use than a tripod because the handle makes framing much easier. Most of what I've been doing lately is SpaceX launches in Florida, so I've been shooting for a very long time and getting the ballhead right was a challenge. Really good with this tripod. When folded, it is neither light nor…

Sturdy, comfortable and most importantly intuitive

Have used it for about 1 year and was pleased enough to buy another one this year; Useful for a simple transmission transfer. It's well built and does its job, as many have argued, but lacks useful resources like a good manual and accessories: the advertised tripod wheels and monopod are nowhere to be found. It can be extended very high but cannot support too much weight when fully extended. I had to tighten the center extension tight enough to keep it from lowering my battery grip DSLR with a…

Absolutely normal! for full tripods

This is a really slim tripod. Take this for a video, choose something else for a photo. This tripod seems as solid as the Manfrotto with no name and perhaps without the same level of quality control. I unpacked mine, let it warm to room temperature and then tested all the functions. I used blue locktite on any threaded connections that I want to leave in place. Then I put my camera on it and checked its movement. My setup has too much weight at the top for the vertical pan's self-return…

Good idea, horrible design

This tripod was a terrible disappointment, and that was due to just one design flaw. The tripod itself makes a solid and durable impression. It opens very easily and is fixed/tightened fairly well. The fluid head is also very smooth and well designed. I initially saw the leveling pan head as a great feature. When I received the tripod, it turned out that the pan head attachment point was uneven. I was trying to adjust it carefully when the threads holding it together snapped and the head fell…

Amazing great quality! Minor issues

I was between this and the more expensive Manfrotto. I was sold this for the lower price and it converts into a monopod. This tripod is of very good quality! It's mostly metal, except for the notches, which are made of hard plastic. It's very durable and the fluid head provides smooth, satisfying pan and tilt. Works great with my GH5. I would definitely recommend it instead of spending extra money on a name. My only concerns: - It's light enough to carry around, but a bit heavy and bulky to…

Sturdy and smooth

I'm no pro but have recently started shooting short marketing videos for work so I needed something to hold the Canon EOS M50, sometimes a teleprompter and whatnot always. This tripod does a great job on a budget. The turning and tilting is very smooth and professional, and the arm is nice and long with a good grip. Build quality seems solid enough for my needs - it mostly stays installed in my home office, with occasional travel. As others have said, it's not the lightest device out there, but

  • Center post and base plate adjustment
