Great for Tigerwood

Use a 1/16" camouflage tool with 1-7/8" stainless steel screws to fasten 300 square feet of Tigerwood decking. The only downside to this camouflage system is that it will fail if there is an obstacle in the way (e.g. post, stair step, edge of house) or can only secure the plank to one edge (e.g. photo frame patio pattern). In this case I would recommend using a countersink and then driving in 3 inch #10 stainless steel screws and plugging the holes with wood glue and the same type of wood. If…

Easy and inexpensive installation of hidden fasteners

Replacing cedar decking with Azek PVC decking with the Camo Pro tool. I chose stainless steel as the extra cost was small compared to my other materials. Installation was easy, no pre-drilling was required and plank spacing is achieved in one step with one tool. Note that the screws are separately but not completely hidden, but when friends come to look at the deck they ask "Where are the screws?". So it can't get much better. As advertised, the boards can be easily removed and replaced if…

Installation was a bit secure

I was surprised at how small the screws were. I hope they do the job as they hold the boards well during installation. Before purchasing, I consulted with a camo tech about the issues some were having with bolts breaking. (I'm guessing during the freeze and thaw cycles). He confirmed that stainless steel is less likely to break and that they were recommended for my 5/4 cedar deck installation. something to do with tannins in the wood and screw stains on the wood. It didn't make sense to me, but
