Poor wear resistance of powder fasteners

This was our second purchase in the last 60 days. The wrong one was sent the first time. Stretched well, only 30 screws worked, very flexible durability - overall bad disappointment with this product.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Empty

It was ideal for ensuring spacing

I have not used it for nail insertion as I have used the stronger CAMO Marksman. This is made of plastic and is light. This was ideal for creating distance. I placed a sturdy Marksman where I wanted the screw and that's 3/4 of the way down the 8 foot area so the board is evenly spaced. Worked great!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Works but looks cheap

This product is marked as light on the packaging and I agree 100%. Feels cheap and appears to be made entirely of plastic. The clamp holes are not lined with metal like normal ones. If you're only using this for a small project or two, this should work just fine. If you're planning more than a small project, it's worth spending the extra $20 on a professional two-way shooter series.

  • Fasteners in collection

Deca looks great. unassembled closure

The tool worked as advertised. However, if you're building a large deck and intend to drive a lot of screws (and stack them up quickly), I'd go with a more expensive tool. I bought this tool for $20 and the best tool was $40. The most important thing that the best tool does for you is that you don't have to turn it to insert the 2nd screw. For example, with this tool you insert a screw and then have to rotate the tool to insert the screw from the other side. Boards. With the best tool, you…

imperfect but worthy - Powder Fastener

I haven't tried the alternatives but "on paper" this seemed like the best option for installing hidden fasteners. I wouldn't say it's a particularly fast tool, but it should still be a lot faster than systems where you pre-drill holes separately with a jig and then install a screw. Likewise, the systems you install clips in also consume time as you mess around with clips at each attachment point. Some of the problems I encountered with this tool include: - Sometimes the screw would not drill a…
