no undervoltage warning!

I used to have a lot of trouble booting my Pi4 due to low voltage issues. I tried a regular 34w power adapter with a power delivery cable (electronically labeled) and it didn't work. Apparently the Pi 4 does not follow the official specification of USB C. I finally decided to purchase a power supply designed for the Pi 4 and am happy to report that I am no longer getting these warnings and mine Pi now boots up flawlessly every time.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Slightly more powerful than the standard adapter, with a longer cable

Need a power supply for the Raspberry Pi project. There was a dispute between this and an OEM adapter from the Raspberry Pi Project. I chose this one because it was a few dollars cheaper and the power cord was longer. Since it's black, it kind of matches my other power cords too. It also had half a lamp more capacity than the OEM. I'm always happy to support projects like Maker. But it made more sense.

Pros
  • Good enough
Cons
  • Not happy with everything

Cheap thick solid wire will ruin this adapter for your new PI4.

The cables leading to the Pi are like leaning over a wardrobe or unwinding connection cables on a freezing day. Yes, the adapter works. But the stiffness of the wire is ridiculous. They supplied this wire with cheap wire with no rubber and not very flexible. They really are doing a disservice by sending such a cheap cable. Charge more if needed, but use a decent lead. On the plus side, the connector fits snugly into the power connector on the Pi4. Come on Cana, you know you can do better.

Pros
  • build quality
Cons
  • the list will be long.

USB C, UL and double insulated. Looks good. Need an on/off switch.

I bought this because I'll soon have a Raspberry Pi 4 and no USB Type-C power supply. I noticed that this adapter has an available output current of 3.5A in comparison added to the 2.5A used by the Raspberry Pi 3+. Its output voltage is slightly biased from 5V to 5.1V, probably to account for losses in cables and connectors. Glad to see it is UL marked and has a double insulated box. I am happy with this purchase. One thing I would like is a switch to turn it on and off. I hate pulling the plug

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Excellent power supply for Raspberry Pi 4

I prefer this power supply to the official Raspberry Pi power supply for Pi 4. I had problems with the official power supply when turning on the AC power with the Raspberry Pi plugged in. When I do that, the Pi 4 doesn't boot properly. I need to disconnect the official power supply from the Pi, let the power supply turn on, and then connect the Raspberry Pi 4 to the power supply. I don't like constantly plugging and unplugging the USB-C connector on the Pi as it can be prone to damage. I can…

Pros
  • even old fashioned
Cons
  • understands some little things

I run all my Raspberry Pi computers with CanaKit adapters

After my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ wouldn't boot I decided to try the CanaKit adapter I had laying around. My Raspberry Pi booted up straight away and worked great. When I got a couple of Raspberry Pi 4s, I decided to play it safe and ordered new CanaKit power supplies. No problem. If you have Raspberry Pi computers, please don't use phone/tablet chargers like me. Of course, this can "work" several times. But in the long run, poor performance of the PSU can cause all sorts of problems. You may…
