Thinner wicks than I thought

They didn't fit me at all. They are smaller and curl and burn too quickly even though they have been cut. I'll try again but I'm not sure why they perform so poorly compared to the wicks I've used before.

Pros
  • wick
Cons
  • I'll write later

Great wicks!

I've just started making candles and so far I'm doing great with these wicks! I tried cotton wicks first but that didn't work so I switched to coated wicks which even burn and are easy to work with. I like the little protrusions on the bottom - it's a lot easier to pour and chill.

Pros
  • candle making
Cons
  • boring packaging

The smoke/soot is just ridiculous! ๐Ÿ˜ก

So far I not only have to throw away the wicks, but also the candles I've used. The smoke development of the wicks is ridiculous! I will lose my customers if I let them pay for a product with them! As the description says "little smoke?!โ€ The paper towel was almost completely covered in soot just a few minutes after burning! I've tried everything from cutting it off to literally cleaning the soot on the wick and no matter what, the smoke/soot is back! Waste of my time and money! ๐Ÿ˜ก

Pros
  • Arts, crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly
