🚲 Cannondale Eileen 3 Center Mount Kickstand: Sturdy and Convenient Bike Accessory Review

Ideal for Cannondale quick3. I'm glad I added it for those moments when I need to park. This is a side mount and there is room for it.

My Cannondale 26" hybrid bike did not have a kickstand. It was a pain without a step to leave it on the porch after rides. This footrest is designed for Cannondale bikes, including those without a footrest. Very easy and was done in less than ten minutes. It's been there for over a month and works great.

There is a special type of center mount that ALREADY needs to be mounted on the bike for this footrest to work. You MUST have a vertical hole to attach it to your bike. The images should show the type of mount your bike should have. Just because you "WANT" a center stand (like me) doesn't mean you can put one on your bike.

My husband and I have Trek road bikes. We bought one of these kickstands for my husband's bike and then bought a footrest for my bike at a local bike shop. My stand broke after 3 weeks. The Cannondale Eileen 3 is a very solid stand that holds the bike almost upright whereas the original stand where I had my bike tilted too far was difficult to use. We ended up buying a second Eileen for my bike.

I ordered the wrong version and didn't realize it until I had the instructions in front of me. See my attached instruction photo. If your frame does not have a built-in mount socket for this stand, you will likely need to order a different version. By the way, my Cannondale is much older than the original. Instructions may be available elsewhere on the web. Keep this in mind when trying to decide which version is right for your Cannondale.

Bought for my 2014 Quickspeed Quick 4 and I love it. This is a solid and well-made stand. It goes right into the factory mounts and screws right in. It has a long and a short hex screw. The short bolt is for standard Cannondale bikes with a welded mount plate and there is an adapter which I believe will work for other bikes that use a longer bolt. I'm so glad I got this. Love this stand. Center attachment, very strong. My Womens Quick 4 came with a center plate for mounting, but the kickstand also came with a metal plate for bikes that don't. I went back and forth to get this one or the rear one and since there were so many more rear ones I settled on this one. But it turned out great. Good stand. Installation was easy and secure thanks to the blue Loc-Tite. However, I noticed that every little bump on my 2019 Cannondale Adventure 2 causes a rumble. It's as if the spring tension isn't strong enough to keep the stand securely retracted. Every little bump made it rattle.
